Why we ask your age

When you create an account on ScripTreeApps, we ask you to confirm that you are 16 years of age or older. Here is why.

Legal requirement

Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and similar privacy laws in other countries require that platforms obtain meaningful consent before collecting personal information. Courts and regulators in Canada, the European Union, and elsewhere have established that individuals under the age of 16 may need additional protections before their consent to data collection is considered valid.

What we collect and why

To operate your account, we collect your email address, display name, country, and a record of your purchases. We use this information to deliver the apps you buy, send order confirmations, and provide customer support. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

If you are under 16

At this time we are not able to create accounts for individuals under the age of 16. This is a legal and technical limitation we are working to address in a future update. If you believe you have reached the page in error, please contact support@scriptreeapps.example.

Your privacy rights

Once you have an account, you can view, export, and delete your personal information at any time from your privacy settings. Our Privacy Policy has the full details.
